Minecraft Snapshot 23W31A

Hello Gamers! In this blog post, we will give you a brief update on the latest Minecraft snapshot. As the majority of our community members are Minecrafters, we believe you will find this information to be of interest.

Some of you might be thinking that Minecraft already is perfect, and no change is needed to the gameplay mechanics. However, the developers of Mojang seems to think differently, as the other day they released another snapshot with new improvements to the game.

It has only been two months since the last major release, which was called Trails and Tales and Mojang is already getting ready for the next one. So, let’s take a look at this snapshot to see what they have planned for future releases.

What’s New?

As usual with these pre-release snapshots, there are a lot of bug fixes and other quality of life improvements included. The big batch of bug fixes will address some long-awaited bugs, which have been previously raised by the community.

Besides the usual long list of bug fixes, you will also find a lot of technical features and changes in this snapshot. Such as new commands, function macros, persistent command history, network performance improvements, and much more.

For a complete look at all the changes this snapshot brings, you can follow this link.

New Experimental Feature

One of the major changes in this snapshot is a new experimental feature toggle that updates the Wandering Trader and Librarian trades. This update will change the way enchantments can be traded, and it will remove some of the randomness that is involved in acquiring enchantments from Librarians.

Currently, any Librarian can sell the best enchantments in the game. But, with the experimental feature enabled, Librarians from different biomes will sell different enchantments. This removes the randomness and further enhance the exploration aspect of the game.

In short, acquiring enchantments will require a bit more skill and add depth to the gameplay. This feature can be enabled from the Experiments Menu when creating a new world. You can find more information on how to achieve this by following this link.

More Diamonds

As the saying goes, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”. But, this is also true for Minecrafters, and if you are one, you will be glad to hear that in this snapshot they have increased the amount of Diamond Ore found in the deepest caverns of the Minecraft universe.

The decision to increase the Diamond Ore distribution is to make it more rewarding to mine for Diamonds in the Deepslate layers. So, don’t miss your chance to get a boat load of Diamonds. Grab your pickaxe and get to mining!

Conclusion

Well, there you have it. Another pre-release snapshot from the developers over at Mojang. This snapshot definitely have some long-awaited changes and improvements that we are excited to see be added into the future major release.

As always, thank you for reading all the way, and we hope you found this blog post to be of interest. Don’t miss your chance to become a part of our growing Discord community while it’s still finding it’s roots. Take care!
