How to Install Forge Using CurseForge

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to install Forge using CurseForge. By the end of this tutorial, you'll be well-equipped to install mods on your Minecraft game and enhance your gameplay experience.

Note: While CurseForge simplifies the process of managing Java versions automatically for you, Prism requires manual management, making it slightly more challenging for some users.

How to Install Forge Using CurseForge

Step 1: Download the CurseForge app

Step 2: Install and Open CurseForge

  • Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file and double-click on it to initiate the installation process.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to install the CurseForge app on your machine.
  • Once installed, open the CurseForge application.

Step 3: Navigate to Minecraft Section

  • Inside the CurseForge app, locate the Minecraft section/tab on the left-hand side.

Step 4: Installing Forge

  • Click on the Browse tab.
  • This will bring you to the modpacks tab. From here you can search and download any modpack of your choosing.
  • Just click on the modpack you want and press install.

Step 5: Launch Minecraft with Forge

  • Once the modpack is installed, you'll see it in your list of Minecraft instances/profiles in CurseForge.
  • Click on the Play button next to your Forge profile to launch Minecraft with that modpack installed.
